Yeah it was really weird to read of all the in-depth research done and extra mile the author went to in order to get an optimal build for Lightroom, only for the benchmarks to have been slower than a Macbook Pro in some areas and in some areas shaving only 2 mins off of 15 mins. That's just ridiculous. I shoot with a D3100, whose 14MP is a third of the author's 42MP, but with Darktable, editing RAWs on a Mid-2012 Macbook Pro has been a breeze. |
