A friend of mine, born in Iran, emigrated to England and got citizenship. A few years later, he emigrated to the US and got American citizenship. Genuinely curious, I asked him why he came to the US once he had EU citizenship.
His response: "In Europe, you stay where they put you."
Of course, this was 15 years ago. Things can change. |
