Getting a device alone is not enough, they need to sign up too! And most devices comes with Hulu, Amazon, HBO, Fandango and a ton of other media apps.

Yes, but most of those devices come with free Netflix. Also, a lot of people get them specifically for Netflix (and not so much the other services).
