The issue of compensation extends far beyond just chipmakers. The large tech companies (FB/GOOG et al.) pay top compensation for most technical fields and have the ability to suck up talent worldwide. Chipmakers, automotive, media...the question is how long incumbent companies are going to continue poor compensation practices before they figure out how far behind they are. |
