It's not easy. At all. It's like having 3 jobs: the day job, the startup, and life. The usual life things like shopping for food, eating, even seeing a friend all take time, and for time-keeping purposes, they are like a job. Something will have to give. Unfortunately the temptation is to skimp on the startup work. If you're really serious about doing this, you'll have to be super vigilant and force yourself into using sacred time slots: when you're supposed to be ralxing, you better be, and when you're churning code at 3am for the startup, you better not be distracted and it better not affect your day job. |
