It still has the most stable implementation for Linux development when compared to VirtualBox or Parallels. Docker for Mac is great for user space dev, but I haven’t figured out how to kernel debug yet. Two recent showstoppers, when I tried to switch from Fusion: The shared folder driver for VB will panic a Linux guest if a shared folder is accessed from a multithreaded compilation. The shared folder driver for Parallels will panic a Linux guest if you load a kernel module from a shared folder. |
