I find the sweet spot is about 300hp. Powerful enough that you can have serious fun in a straight line (0-60 in the high 4s or low 5s, say) but not so much that you can't have a decent thrash without getting into license-endangerment territory. I've had a Golf R for about a year and have plenty of legal fun it. |
