This convinces me my suspicions are correct. They want to replace desktops with iPhones. Apple has been drastically increasing the power of the processors in iPhones. Now they’re unifying the iOS and macOS experience. They’re going to create a desktop mode within iOS. It’ll use bluetooth peripherals and an HDMI Airplay stick that plugs into a monitor. The iPhone will become a PC we carry around in our pockets containing all our data making it unnecessary to have a different computer in every place we go to. And it will justify spending more on our phones because we’ll be saving not buying desktops. |
