Good sales people at a bike shop can often convince a person that the cost of ownership over time for their new bike is less than that cheap wal-mart bike, and that it will be more enjoyable to use during that time. And often that's entirely accurate. The hard part is getting the customer to go to the bike shop first, rather than the big box store. |
