I come from the RTFM generation. S.O. never appealed to me, since I usually read the documentation of the libs/APIs/products I'm using. Call me snob or whatever, but I'd rather rely on official (or good, comprehensive third-party) documentation. And if the product is open-source, you'd better ask the creators/maintainers and then contribute to improve the original documentation, for the greater good. |
