Ask HN: With the advancement of AI and ML, how could it likely effect programers?

I've recently started working as a developer, and I'm by no means well read in the AI field. But it seems that with more implementation of AI in programming and development, it would inevitably mean less demand for programers. Would this be true, or would it just create jobs in different areas?

I'd love some input from someone more educated than myself.
