My team is responsible for outage communication for a wide range of Cloud products. We want to post publicly within minutes and with a low rate of false positives and negatives (false positives are noise for customers, negatives result in customer stress). There are lots of business factors that change the way we need to post, so it's not a trivial process. So over the last few years we have built, used and iterated on a checklist for this. It has been pivotal in meeting our goals here. |
