The point of CC0 is that in countries (like the US) with the concept of releasing works into the public domain—relinquishing all copyright claims on the work, that's what you are doing with CC0. In countries where you can't legally release works into the public domain, CC0 is a license that tries to do as much as it can through a license in those countries. |
