OP actually gets the point. Chinese consumers are not aware of those foods until very recently, and their interests are likely cultivated by the corresponding oversea industry intentionally. So why blame China for the shortage when the western countries are the ones create the demand in the first place? I guess it is a convenient strategy to hike the price while swiftly shift the blame to something people already dislike, after all it fits the narrative. |

As said, we are in the WTO. Which means yes or no to exports. With good reason.
