Hi all, Im trying to design my career path in Business development after closing a startup of my own (As Head of BizDev). One of the hardest things with job searching is understanding whether it is better to have a big title (and a salary that fits it) at a small unknown company or go for a smaller title at a known brand. I am currently interviewing for a Business Development Manager position at a company that is not so known, which has a product I don't really connect with. Nontheless, the pay is very nice and I am hoping to advance to a bizdev manager position elsewhere within a year.
The alternative is going for an account manager\junior partnerships position at a well known startup (with less pay) which has a very interesting product. Regardless of my interest in each company, I was wondering what would be a better choice for a career in BizDev. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
