I think it's more about the friction of engaging a payment method. For me at least, there is a bigger gap between free and $0-but-fish-out-a-credit-card than there is between $1 and $10. True, I wouldn't pay either $1 or $10 to generate a meme, but I wouldn't 'pay' $0 either. |
