Grad students aren't grad students forever, right? So it must be darn hard to have union membership turn over. Grads today in the union will leave in a few years and not stay decades. Unions i know work when lives in the same job are represented. And contracts last 4-6 yrs. Not sure i see a chance for long term benefit. |
