I think it all depends on what sort of programming you want to do. I do a lot of internal web development for a business. Math is rarely used beyond the basics. Algorithms and such just aren't needed. Problem solving and applying logic to an problem/project is... but the high-end maths? Nope. So... decide what sort of work you want to do, and plan accordingly. |
