I hope so. I'm following the development of IPFS closely. In fact, sillysaurus3's subthread about Twitch[0] made me think that maybe something IPFS-like (e.g. the libp2p that powers it) could be used for video streaming, making a streamer independent of big companies subsidizing bandwidth.
