And before Slack there was Skype, Lync/Office Communicator, IRC, AIM, XMPP, Hangouts, and email. It's not like having a lot of chat platforms is a new thing. > I'm not sure when chat rooms became a business tool. As soon as somebody figured out they could use something other than email lists to send messages to people in a business setting. If people get mad at you for not being available, then it has nothing to do with which, if any, chat apps you use. It's a disagreement in expectations. |
