7. People hoped Bitcoin could me many things, but few hoped it would become what it is. There is no real market for legitimate businesses using Bitcoin unless you want to open another exchange. It just became a speculative asset that is sometimes used by criminals. I think a lot of people were just dismayed that it did not end up being something more than it is.
