Certainly the handsaw needs sharpening sometimes, and the same goes for many other hand tools. And the circular saw is not nearly as bad as some tools. But when I think of lawnmowers and especially chainsaws, I have spent more time repairing, oiling, refueling, cleaning, flushing, prepping for winter storage, and diagnosing them than I have actually using them! Fortunately sharpening is often pretty easy, and it's quite a useful skill considering how many things can be sharpened.
