Highly recommended! The first course was the first thing I came across that helped me contextualize the DL field into something that might be relevant for my work. It's a great way to get your hands dirty. In fact that book inspired me to create a spreadsheet that implements MCMC in order to make it easy to understand and visualize - we're planning to start an "Introduction to Machine Learning" course in a couple of months where I hope to show off the result of this...
