Does this phone have a IMEI number? In my country, it is not possible to use a phone without a valid IMEI, let alone the fact that that it is illegal. How does the process of assigning IMEI work?

The GSM module manufacturer has taken care of IMEI, same with certification, AFAIK =)

So at least if you are concerned about the IMEI number because of privacy it's easier to change than on a regular phone.
