The Judgement Day scenario is a strawman. Of course humanity will not be replaced by killers robots over night. When we learn how to connect our brains to computers - without our eyes, ears and hands as bottlenecks in between - humanity's views about the world and life itself might change significantly. Strong AI is not even required for that to happen. There will be brain mines in rural Chinese sheds. |
