Ask HN: Open source self/cloud hosted alternative to Nest Cam (IQ)

I was looking into home security camera and it seems like its a bit of a minefield - I was wondering if anyone is building an open source service such as Nest with some of the features of 'IQ'. Cheaper cameras which come with cloud-hosted storage seem to be full of holes and prone to remote hacking.
