From what I've seen this is quite common with batteries -- the rated power output number is usually in the same ballpark as the storage number. I'm no expert, but I would guess it's because most of the time the wind will be blowing somewhat, so you will rarely need peak discharge. Most of the time the batteries will be providing load smoothing and frequency regulation. |

So they could have gotten a system with 100 MW/420 MWh
