I think it's more that you have no absolute speed...? I.e.
it's an ill-defined concept. Of course we often talk about speed as if it's absolute, but as you point out it's actually always relative to some assumed background, e.g. the ground. (It's also impossible to measure speed without some sort of external reference.) |
