ASK HN: Search by SITE: for webpages based in a specific region

The basic premise; Is there a search engine that can search for sights based in a specific region? For example, If I would like search for all website in NYC that included the word rubber. Google maps and Bing maps do some of this. Some of this appears to be polluted by the people advertising. I would like to do the equivalent of google by (site:) search and expand it for a specific geographic region. I realize it is probably messy to assign sites to a specific location, but some of this is already being done. |
