Interestingly, the entire setup of the article---how to use an accusation of "logical fallacy" ("preferably both in Latin and English") to impress a debate judge to dismiss an opponent's argument... ...is itself an argumentum ad verecundiam, an argument to authority! Which is not to say that it's not a good debate technique. :) |
