Indeed. It would be nice if it were a choice between government by Science vs. Superstition, because then the answer would be easy. In reality it's more like "psuedo-scientific mismanagement" vs. "mostly civilized confusion". Neither of these scenarios is particularly appealing, but I'd rather take the confusion. |
