I have a kid as well, and have the same exact thoughts about his future and incentives - only I grew up in rural New England where it was, "get good at something" or "become a logger for the papermill nearby that will probably close in the next decade or so." I would love for the US to have a viable vocational education path. So many students in high school prepping for college who don't want to be there. |
