Not sure what you mean. This is not a hacking site. Its a site for hacker news. Its not for startup's or information about google voice, nor for an explanation about iPad economics.
err yeh, as mentioned in the other post, startup news is exactly what this place is.
YC is a startup seed fund / incubator, most of the first users were all from YC companies, as shown by your "90%" figure most of the current users are still interested in startups, its original name was startup news and a lot of people still call it that.
slashdot / programming reddit / lambda the ultimate might be better places if you want purely programming news.
