Services interfaces are among the least maintainable kind of interface we have on IT, and REST services are at the less maintainable end of that. When you add that network communication, you remove coherent type enforcement, timing restrictions, availability guarantees, causality guarantees, unicity guarantees, and likely more stuff that are just not on my mind right now. Those are all characteristics of the information flow. |
