Fusion is likely to displace Solidworks and Autodesk's own inventor in the market within the next few years. It's easy, powerful, and most importantly update regularly and with features people want. What do you find awful about OnShape? It's not as nice as Fusion, but it's passable, and it runs on Linux, which is my number one annoyance with Fusion. Requiring me to reboot to design stuff is pretty much a guarantee that not many things will ever get designed :/
