I used to count calories and I still keep an eye on my calories, but I have switched to keeping an eye on carbs. Since I sit at a desk most of my day and I'm still sitting, I try to ride my bike to work and back home for some exercise. So I try to eat and live on the ketosis diet. I also swim and go hiking when I can. But for the most part, it all comes down to what I eat, and I have since switched to high fat, moderate protein, and low carb. I'm not really losing much weight anymore, but I'm maintaining about +/- 5 pounds of my current weight. If you are interested, basically, I lost 80 pounds, but gained about 10 pounds back, and that's where I'm at about now... this post was written 2 years ago, but its very relevant to the life I still continue to live today. https://mypost.io/post/no-bullshit-diet |
