> There is a mechanism for a paid update, which is to simply state end of life for an app and release a new one This is really a workaround to the problem that Apple doesn't support paid updates - deleting the old version and buying a new version (which has to have a different name) is not a great user experience for updating an app, and who knows how many users you might lose in the transition. I think it would be much better if paid updates were part of the App Store, with a simple way for users to see that a paid update is available and to buy it if they choose to. |
