I am sad to see these negative events as someone who was in the openstack community. But I think a lot of folks knew such stuff was going to happen. I think the mistakes made were: 1) the so-called big tent approach
2) too much complexity
3) core projects not listening to end-users, and focusing too much on the plug-in model It is a shame because there were so many smart and hard working folks involved. It really felt like a community experience. |
