This legal argument would explain both the CEO's twitter statements and the leaked letter. If airline employees cannot legally contribute to "overbooking" and if a passenger has different rights once seated, then there will be a legal settlement. In that scenario, every communication by United would need to serve dual PR and legal objectives. |
