Looks like Nginx has the highest usage in Russia. Why is that?

Creator of nginx is Russian. Which probably means good word of mouth marketing, good docs in their language, etc.

If I'm not mistaken he created it while working at/for rambler.ru which is one of the biggest Russian websites (it was serving 500 million requests per day at that time).
