It came out of the Skype team. But it doesn't look like they're currently using it in their universal Windows app, which is built directly on XAML.

And I believe the desktop (Win) version of Skype is still in Delphi, right?
The latest Skype is UWP
I don't think so. Just checked with Spy++, I can see a lot of TControl-s (Delphi/VCL controls).

No, latest version for Win7.
ah, yeah that hasn't changed. I've been using Skype preview on Win10 and it's very nice. It's very much a native desktop app - certainly it's the successor to the old Delphi client.
