Problem: I wanted some high quality mosaics that I could create and print out. Project: Create a mosaic effect that can be applied to arbitrary photos. I launched a MacOS version couple of months back but have been constantly refactoring the algorithm. Since launch, I've brought down the processing of a 1024x768 photo from 40 seconds to under 20 seconds. Currently building out an iOS version. https://www.mosaicshapes.com |
