For those who don't know, a Stage (pronounced the French way, not the English way) is basically an unpaid internship, but often for more experienced chef, often with a hope of scoring an actual paid position (usually at an esteemed establishment).
Yep. Please fix the title. Very misleading and much less interesting. I know in the US many restaurant workers get well under minimum wage as it is expected that tips will bring the wage up to minimum so I thought this was just taken to it's logical conclusion that people would pay to work in places where they can earn a lot in tips.
