Just because they're surviving doesn't mean their lives are without issue. Would you want to revert 60000 years to their level of technology? Would they want to go back to the village if they were given this same choice?

Too early to say, but ask me again in 5 years. If humanity fails to overcome the debilitating psychosis induced by Facebook in that time period, the island might become that much more tempting.
