It's already possible to carry ~256 GB to 1 TB data on a device, MicroSD format. With a storage array (a battery of MicroSD cards), multiple TB. Local wired (or Bluetooth) data transmission will beat the Cloud on performance, not rely on third party security, and be immune from interruptions. I see strong potential for movement away from the cloud. |
