A good resource that is still in use today by many urban planners is a book called "The Death and Life of Great American Cities" by Jane Jacobs. She explores among other things the growth, decline and renewal of urban centers.
Even though this was written in the 60's most of her ideas are still considered when city urban planners make decisions. |
