I logged in just to upvote this article, excellent! I don't have too much experience with several languages so I won't comment on the validity or merit of the arguments, but it is a very well-designed piece. I agree with the point that you really do need to learn several languages to become a good programmer, though. I just don't think it's possible to be as well-rounded and knowledgeable without doing so. |
