Sure, that makes sense, but as a consumer, all that matters to me is whether they have the content I want or not. If they don't, Amazon will gladly sell me the season DVD's that Netflix hasn't been able to host. I'm not personally interested in 'investing' in Netflix creating their own content (which I generally haven't been that into honestly).

I'm cool with that, I'm just bothered by the constant blaming Netflix for something that is not of their creation. These problems will exist with any streaming service as long as people point their complaints to the wrong companies. People should complain to the content rights holders, not the streamers.

It's just as possible for the content owner to tell Amazon to stop selling their content if they wanted for some strange reason.

Yeah I think anyone who's been following Netflix should know that keeping content they didn't create available for streaming is actually quite difficult and not just because 'Netflix sucks' or something.
