That's exactly what I'm trying to highlight. After you take that 'latest' image, if you're not applying updates regularly, you are vulnerable from almost day 1. This also applies to most of the AWS, Digital Ocean, etc images I have seen as well. I'll be writing more about how to mitigate this in the next article. |
