The huge rise in Objective-C's popularity isn't natural; it's only a result of Apple basically forcing all software targeting its popular mobile platforms to be written in Objective-C. Maybe the Perl community just needs to trick Apple into making Perl the default language for iPhone and iPad development. It's marketshare will shoot through the roof overnight. |
